Flag stuff

I'm putting this here until I find out where it's actually supposed to go.

Flag Word:
Great sense of humour
Your definition:
I love to laugh and will try to make that happen wherever I go and whatever I do.
Your Support Statement:
At times I may seem irreverent or disrespectful; please understand that I am not trying to demean anyone or undermine the seriousness of a given situation. My making jokes does not mean I do not understand what is necessary in a given situation; I use humour as a way to make whatever I am doing more enjoyable.

Flag Word: Dry sense of humour
Your definition:
I laugh at things other people may see as random or not at all funny.
Your Support Statement:
If I start saying things that make no sense, you can usually just assume I’m being sarcastic. Again, don’t take it personally - this is how I put things into perspective for myself, since I have a tendency to take things over-seriously and stress myself out if I don’t turn them into jokes.

Flag Word: Witty
Your definition:
I have a comeback for everything and tend to use a large vocabulary.
Your Support Statement:
Sometimes this trait can seem combative; I don’t mean it that way. I just enjoy the cut and thrust of a good debate. I don’t mean it personally! As for my large vocabulary, I am usually fairly good about using normal words; the way you know I’m tired is if I start slipping into crazy polysyllabic vocabulary!

Flag Word: Avoids conflict
Your definition:
Fairly self-explanatory
Your Support Statement:
If I seem to be defending someone whose actions you think are inexcusable, please don’t think I’m ‘on their side’ or have turned against you. Chances are that I’m defending you to them when you’re not there - I tend to automatically assume a mediator role in whatever conflicts are going on around me. Another aspect of this trait is that I often capitulate to people, even when I believe that what I am saying is right, if I think they are very attached to their idea. The best thing you can do for me is to ask me for my opinion after the idea has been originally posited.

Flag Word: Musical
Your definition:
I love music
Your Support Statement:
Feel free to nudge me or stop me if my tapping or humming is getting on your nerves!

Combine to write your personal mission statement.

I will try to use my sense of humour to help me deal with people in a fun, likeable way, while attempting to tone down comments that could be seen as irreverent in a professional environment. I will also try to use my aversion to conflict as a positive trait, mediating arguments between people in my environment so as to make things run more smoothly and enjoyably for everyone concerned. I will also work on standing up for myself, especially in situation where I feel my viewpoint would be beneficial to the discussion.
